Goped Questions and Help (Note: We are not responsible what happens to your goped after you use our tips, tips were just based on our expierences and used on our goped. dont complain to us if it messes up your goped. use at your own risk)

ADJUSTING THE REAR WHEEL

To adjust the rear spindle(no pic yet...): On the back of your ped, there is a little lock thingy, you want to pull it so it faces the opposite direction and isn't tightening the wheel. Next bring the EPW (engine protection washer) all the way down. Now if you still have to loosen it, on the other side there is a wing nut, loosen that alittle. Now you want to apple at least 75 punds of pressure on the "D" part of the deck where it says Goped or the E. ( if u apply more than 75 pounds than u have a chance of breakin your crankshaft). Once you know the spindle is in good contact with the wheel, while still kneeling on the deck, you want to reverse the whole step on loosining the wheel. Thats it!

ADJUSTING CARB MIXTURE ON STOCK CARBEURATOR

For adjusting the stock carbeurator, this takes very little adjustments. Find the jet needle or the big black flat head screw on the top of the carb, to richen the mixture(easier starting, more power, badder smellin exhaust and more use of fuel) you will want to turn the screw to the left JUST A LITTLE, too much will make the engine flood alot. To lean the mixture (harder starting, more heating up of engine, less power, less fuel use) you would want to turn it to the right JUST ALITTLE! once again, or it wont start and it would be harder to re-adjust it to regular spot. REMEMBER THIS TAKES JUST SLIGHT ADJUSTMENTS! TOO MUCH OR TOO LITTLE FUEL WILL MAKE YOUR ENGINE WORK BADDER, JUST ALITTLE ADJUSTMENTS ONCE AGAIN! thank you

RAISED COMPRESSION/BASE GASKET REMOVAL

The things you'll need for this job are, 1. Allen wrenches 2. some gasket makers or silicone stuff 3. stuff to take of crank cover and stuff.
  1. first step is to take off the flywheel cover and the engine shroud.
  2. after taking those off, you will see the magnet windings on the top of the flywheel, use a small sized allen wrench to get those outta the way.(disconnect wires to keep it out of the way).
  3. take off the spark plug
  4. take off the carb, muffler
  5. use the allen wrench to take out the cylinder bolts
  6. you than want to carefully take off the cylinder, dont twist it to get it off
  7. after getting that off, take of the base gasket
  8. put a small bead of silicone or gasket maker on your finger and rub it along the bottom of the cylinder, not too much, about the thickness of a peace of paper is need to use.
  9. carefully put on the cylinder, by aligning the piston rings to the bumps and squeezing them, carefully put the cylinder on (easier to put the piston the TDC ((top dead center))), dont twist the cylinder to get it on, if it is hard to put on, take it off agan, and retry
  10. after that put all the other stuff bak on

AIR FILTER ELEMENTS MOD

this modification is really easy. first take off the foam filters from the airfilter, soak them in a bowl of soap water. after that let them dry out. than cut out the center part of the first foam airfilter so there is only 2 cm on each side, kinda trace the cut from the outer edge.

TAKING OFF OLD SPINDLE

taking off the old spindle is easy. first take off the wheel, and the gasoline tank. with an allen wrench, through that big hole, take out that bolt in the middle of the spindle. spray some WD-40 through the spindle and let it stay there for 15 minutes to loosen everything up, take a small hammer and tap the spindle at a moderate strenght while turnign it. keep on doing it and it will pop right out. these instructions are also good for adding the long drive for the 3rd bearing support
